Ajdovscina - Visit to the Dornberk Primary School (2/6/10)

We visited a primary school which participates in the project Tandems Go! on behalf of the Slovenian partner, Ljudska University of Ajdovscina.

The participants are divided into pairs of a young pupil with an elderly person.

The young people teach the elders how to use the computer and the different applications.

This activity is one of several intergenerational activities of the Slovenian group. Other activities are related to transfer of life stories and life history.

At the session we attended, the participants, both young and seniors, received a diploma for participating in the program.

Speaking with the elderly people, we understood that these activities enriched them in competences but the contact with the younger generation was also important for them.
