Notes:

Seniors:  aged: >55

Task/Objectives:

 

The objective is to stimulate civil activity of seniors directed towards representing of the peers interest against public authorities through: expressing the needs of seniors, participation in decision-making proces, monitoring the situation of senior citizens.

Description of Activity/Activities

 

The goals are achieved through:

  • meetings;
  • trainings;
  • seminars;
  • preparing handbooks

 

Some examples:

1. Trainings on senior citizens vs public administration relationships. They included following issues:

  • legal aspects: for what are responsible different actors of public administration;
  • building public support and partnerships directed towards enhancing the efficiency of senior citizens in public life at different levels;
  • mechanism of recognition the current problems met by senior citizens.

2. Meeting and training with bank expert: ‚e-bank for e-senior citizen‘, focused on internet-aided banking. More than 100 participants attended (outstanding interest!).

3. Writing handbooks for senior citizens and their trainers.

Following legal status of seniors, daily life problems, media publications as well as exchange of experience between the different groups of seniors are much more efficient if modern technologies are applied which is the case in carried out activities.
