Description of Activity/Activities

Brief description:

·         We are releasing the spontaneous activity of senior citizens through motivating them to attend groups of those who exhibit interest in learning the foreign literature, culture and habits as well as in exchanging the own experience with members of the group and with members of groups from other countries.

·         Among inhabitants of Krakow, the European City of Culture 2000, we have easily found such a group of project participants who exhibit skills and also mobility necessary to join the project. We have access to such people and their circles.

·         The leading partner of the project is Regional Public Library of Malopolska in Krakow in which there are  professional service and well-equipped place for meetings.

·         Project relies on exchange of experiences, common discussions on books chosen by project partners, and, last but not least, possibility of writing memoirs by club members.

·         The multicultural context is stressed and chosen as a leitmotiv of the project.

·         We offer computer workshops, literature-focused meetings and “biblio-therapy” . These activities integrate the participants and foster new approach to the world of books
